Kat Von D

Katherine Von Drachenberg "Kat Von D", artista nacida en Monterrey, Nuevo León, México, el 8 de marzo de 1982.

Kat es conocida por su trabajo en Miami Ink que en compañía de Ami James, Chris Garver, Chris Núñez, Darren Brass y Yoji Harada se encargaban de hacer tatuajes y otras artes referentes al diseño.

Kat hoy en día tiene su propio show de t.v. muy parecido y con la misma idea que Miami Ink, solo que en otra ciudad, Los Ángeles, por lo cual el show lleva por nombre L.A. Ink.

Biografía

Cuando apenas tenia 4 años de edad, Kat se mudó a Colton, California, Estados Unidos. Su padre, Rene Drachenberg, y su madre, Silvia Galeano, son de nacionalidad argentina^{[cita requerida]}. La abuela paterna de Kat estaba a cargo del desarrollo artístico, principalmente en el piano, convirtiendo a Kat en una gran compositora. Kat siempre ha mantenido una gran relación con sus padres y hermanos.

El primer tatuaje de Kat fue a los 14 años y fue una "J" en su tobillo^{[cita requerida]}, representando a un amor que se había ido. Poco después, en 1996, viendo su capacidad natural para el arte, sus amigos le ofrecieron un trabajo de tatuadora; Kat sabia que el arte de tatuar no era nada fácil, pero a pesar de ello quería seguir su sueño y continuó tatuando.

En 1998 Kat comenzó en su primera tienda oficial llamada "Sin City Tattoo" que estaba en su vecindario; año y medio después se mudó a otra tienda llamada "Blue Bird Tattoo" en Pasadena y un año después en "Red Hot Tattoo" en Arcadia.

En poco menos de años ella empezó a trabajar en "Inflictions" en las afueras de Covina, Ca. Esta época fue un periodo de gran crecimiento en su trabajo, por lo que fue a "True Tattoo", donde tuvo la oportunidad de trabajar con Chris Garver y Clay Decker; con el tiempo Kat ha adquirido mucho talento y calidad, lo que la llevo a "Miami Ink" y ahora en su propio show "L.A. Ink" y es feliz de ser considerada un idolo rock, con miles de fans alrededor del mundo.

En la actualidad Kat posee su propia linea de ropa, es dueña de un estudio de tatuajes "high voltage tattoo" y está próximo a estrenarse una película en donde ella será actriz (The bleeding, 2009).

El nombre Kat von D. es un resumen de su nombre real, el cual es Katherine Von Drachenberg. Desde su carrera de poca fama puede ser una de las mas fama tenga haciendo tatuajes.
